Goza & Honnold recently obtained a $920,000 verdict in a Johnson County medical malpractice case involving complications from hip surgery.
Our firm represented a 58-year-old woman who had a total hip replacement by a local orthopedic surgeon. Post-surgery, our client developed a hematoma that went untreated. The hematoma continued to expand for several months until 6 pounds of fluid had to be drained from her leg.
Unfortunately, because of the delay in treatment our client received, she developed a large “dead space” in her leg that required multiple surgeries and left her in chronic pain. The jury, in this case, reached a verdict in favor of our client after a six-day trial.
Goza & Honnold represents a variety of clients who have been injured by the negligence of others. If you would like to discuss a potential Kansas or Missouri medical malpractice case with an attorney, contact our firm today for a free consultation by calling (913) 451-3433.
